a love story that starts with a sweet beginning… a date at a local ice cream bar. that’s right, #aandbabe maxine and david met at wiz bang bar for their first date. bonding over their similarities and sharing a "double scoop topped with sprinkles", it wasn’t long before the pair became inseparable.
fast forward to august 2020 and a typical weekend camping adventure led to the surprise of a lifetime. david’s proposal on detroit lake in oregon swept maxine off her feet. finding even more family surprises planned when they arrived back home to portland, we think it’s safe to say that the summer of 2020 held so many special memories for these two.
CLASSIC WEDDING DRESS
from maxine and david’s movie-like love story to their picturesque wedding day, charming details were all over. maxine opted for a traditional wedding look, wearing BISHOP wedding dress by The Label. this high neckline crepe wedding dress was fitted and fashionable, finding the perfect balance of modern elegance and sophisticated bridal design.
maxine made this chic crepe wedding dress her own with tasteful bridal accessories. wearing sara gabriel’s 'caroline veil' and 'celeste duet', her bridal accessories kept this simple wedding look refined and romantic. maxine had her pearl beaded belt sewn to the front of the dress. by adding this pearl accent to only the front, maxine’s open keyhole back bridal gown stood out even more.

CONTEMPORARY GREENHOUSE WEDDING
while so many details of maxine and david’s wedding day were traditional, their greenhouse wedding venue was a fun twist. hosting their relaxed wedding ceremony among vibrant greenery and lush potted plants, their ceremony took place in front of a giant indoor tree. with natural beauty and sleek decor, maxine and david’s wedding day featured some of our favorite characteristics of garden wedding venues.
as the sun went down, their reception was lit by strings of bistro lights and their soft reflection against the space’s luxury outdoor wedding tent. long farm tables formed a comfy dining atmosphere and green florals were displayed as wedding table centerpieces. guests found their seats by wedding place cards displayed near the central decor.
as the couple cut into their chocolate drizzle wedding cake, their smiles showed that they were both wrapped up in a whirlwind of love and joy. joining their friends and family on the dance floor once again, their big day ended with the same level of excitement as when it first began.

SOFTBALL LOVE STORY
from kicking up dirt on the softball field, to kicking back and relaxing on their wedding day, #aandbabe meghan and brad are always down for an adventure. meghan shared a glimpse of their love story saying, “we met at co-ed softball 9 years ago and then he messaged me on twitter. we began talking every day. he proposed after 8 years together! we have been inseparable ever since.”
OUTDOOR FARM WEDDING
saying i do under a wooden arch, meghan and brad’s outdoor ceremony was full of lush garden details and classic white wedding flowers. a concrete aisle led to the altar with grass on either side and white folding chairs neatly placed out for all guests. their wooden pergola altar was adorned with simple florals on either side. beyond the set up was a grove with dirt pathways and patches of grass.
TRUVELLE WEDDING DRESS
matching the rustic feel of their modern farm wedding, meghan wore ‘mackenzie’ by truvelle wedding dress. having a little bit of everything, from lace to sparkle, this traditional a-line wedding dress was ideal for their rural and romantic wedding. the corded lace complimented meghan’s simple wedding bouquet. with crinkled ribbon streamers swaying for her small bridal bouquet as well as her bridesmaids, the floral touches matched this sequin lace truvelle wedding dress to a tee.
BARN WEDDING RECEPTION
after the ceremony, everyone entered their cozy barn venue to dine and dance the night away. meghan and brad shared their first dance on the open concrete floor and a statement chandelier hung above their heads, casting a warm glow on them and their guests seated at each table.
SIMPLE WEDDING CAKE
after dinner, meghan and brad stood over their dessert table to cut their charming wedding cake. their one tier wedding cake had white textured frosting and fresh greenery decorating the cake. with lots of sweet treats for their guests to dig into, their gorgeous dessert spread was a highlight of their reception celebration.
DENIM BRIDAL JACKET
during their lively barn reception, meghan slipped on a blue jean bridal jacket at the end of the night. this wedding denim jacket matched their rustic decor. with pearl embellished shoulders and writing that read ‘mrs paschall’ on the back, this was the perfect way to change up her wedding look for their reception.
from posing with their pet dog to playing yard games with their friends and family members, meghan and brad’s remote wedding near chico, california was filled to the brim with cheerful celebration and countless memories.
