Real Wedding: Erin + Taylor
From the designer, Nicole Miller's blog:
Nothing makes us want to get together and feel alright like the thought of Jamaica. For today’s #WeddingWednesday, we are excited to share with you a picturesque destination wedding from Negril. The bride, Erin, shined in our Alexis Gown. Follow the link to read about her love story and see photos from this beautiful beach wedding…
The Love Story of Taylor and Erin
“Our love story is very unique in the fact that we met at Denver International Airport. Neither of us lived in Denver, Colorado. We both lived in Scottsdale, Arizona at the time. It amazes me that fate brought us together so far from home. We were definitely meant to be!”
The Destination
“Taylor and I got married on November 27, 2015 at Sandals Resorts in Negril, Jamaica. A destination wedding intrigued us most because of the minimal planning that went into our special day. Sandals conveniently has “pre-designed wedding themes” designed by Martha Stewart. Taylor and I chose the Chic & Natural theme. The theme was modern, simple, timeless, and chic. Sandals took care of everything for us, from the moment we arrived to the duration of our honeymoon. We moved to a different Sandals Resort for our honeymoon, which was in Whitehouse, Jamaica. We also wanted an intimate wedding so that we may spend time with our closest family and friends. A destination wedding allowed us to plan a small ceremony and reception that was stress-free, intimate, and personal.”
The Wedding Ceremony and Reception
“I walked down a white rose petal covered beach to the song, “Giving It All To You” by Haley & Michaels with my father, while Taylor stood near the ocean. Taylor and I said our own vows to each other in front of our closest family and friends. Our reception was on the beach underneath the stars. We danced on the beach, barefoot, underneath the stars to celebrate our lifelong commitment to each other. The Alexis Gown was perfect for our beach wedding. It was light, breathable, and showed off all my best features! I have never felt more beautiful and sexy than I did on my wedding day!”
Advice To Fellow Brides
“I recommend that all brides plan the wedding that they have dreamed about since they were a little girl. I have personally always wanted to get married on the beach. We were very fortunate to have family and friends that supported our decision. I also recommend that all brides try on wedding dresses by themselves at least once. I learned that when you have your entourage present, your family and friends have different opinions than how you might picture yourself walking down the aisle to your “soon to be” husband.”
