when you think of a fall wedding, you may envision vibrant foliage and rustic details. while #aandbabe kennedy & tanner did have a bold wedding color palette, they replaced fall leaves with the red rock backdrop of sedona. getting married at l’auberge de sedona resort, their romantic and intimate desert wedding in sedona, arizona had a little something for everyone.
stunning proposal in iceland
it seems that many elements of kennedy and tanner’s love story center around nature. the two got engaged in iceland. after dating for 11 months, their engagement on top of a waterfall would mark the start of the whirlwind adventure of planning their wedding.
made with love ‘archie’ wedding dress
when shopping for her wedding dress at our a&bé minneapolis bridal shop, kennedy gravitated towards our made with love wedding dress collection. these modern bridal gowns had the perfect amount of detail for their classic arizona wedding.
eventually saying yes to ‘archie’ by made with love, kennedy couldn’t get enough of this cowl back wedding dress, the covered buttons, and the dramatic train. archie was the perfect wedding dress to help her standout among sedona’s scenic backdrop.
pearl bridal accessories
not only did kennedy have a fun time finding her made with love wedding dress, she also had a blast styling her modern wedding gown.
finding pearl wedding accessories that paired with archie’s modern look, kennedy selected several pearl embellished bridal jewelry pieces.
wearing ‘harper pearl drop earrings’ and ‘oyster veil’ by untamed petals for the ceremony, kennedy was decked out in subtle pearl sparkle from head to toe.
the linear drop earrings blended with her soft bridal updo. wearing her long pearl wedding veil underneath her bridal bun, the veil extended beyond her bridal train, creating stunning wedding portraits.
after the ceremony, kennedy took off her veil and swapped her sleek pearl earrings for statement ‘paradise earrings’ also by untamed petals.
these pearl cluster hoops added a playful touch to her reception outfit as did her bridal jean jacket.
intimate reception dinner outside
part of what made their day so memorable was the intimate time with family and friends.
kennedy shares, “our day was absolutely perfect. it was simple, intimate and spent with our 40 closest friends and family members. we wouldn’t have changed a thing”.
after the ceremony guests really got to enjoy each other at their intimate reception dinner. situated in a courtyard under bistro lights, the wedding banquet tables formed a u-shape for easy conversation and closeness.
wildflower wedding cake
at the end of the evening, kennedy and tanner cut into their three-tiered wedding cake.
this naked wedding cake had vanilla frosting and fresh flowers placed throughout.
with succulents situated at the bottom of the cake platter, kennedy and tanner paid homage to their wedding venue and arizona desert wedding aesthetic.
